Hi again,
Thank you Trace for finding Jenni's flair/ flare piece - it all seems to make a lot more sense now. I didn't realise the emotional roller coaster is as much part of the symptoms as the physical pain... And I thought I was going doolally! As for the lack of concentration - I nearly ran two red lights in this past week!
I took my first dose of mtx yesterday evening and so far so good, still got a banging headache tho, have realised I'm not drinking enough fluids... best go sort that now..
It's great to 'meet' you all,
Fifi xx

Trace - my young lad was born in an ambulance in a lay-by somewhere near Stonehenge !!

Hi Fiona. I couldn't advise you on whether or not to continue with Zumba as I haven't got a clue what it isHuh

Hi Fifi,

My name is Anne, 51 years old married with two lads 19 and 20, was diagnosed May 2010.

Like you at the beginning it is so hard to get your head around it, but I joined this site almost immediately and the help and advise was brilliant, suddenly I didn't feel alone anymore, the people on this site have been there, done it and got the t-shirt.

I would say the MTX kicked in after approx 7 weeks for me and apart from a few blips along the way has been fantastic, long may it continue, although I know I shall be straight on this site if it stops working, and ask for advice before I visit the rhummy.

I currently take 25mg weekly. Please try and stay positive, because there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Regards Anne x

Hello Fiona,

Welcome to the forum! I'm relatively new here too. My name is Rachael, am 38 years old and married with two children ages 6 and 4. I was officially diagnosed approx 3 years ago, but had problems ever since the birth of my daughter 6 years ago.

It can be difficult at times coming to terms with the diagnosis, however even in the few weeks I have been on the forum, I have found it very beneficial just to know that there are others out there going through the same thing.

In addition, as I keep telling myself, the medications out there are so much better than they were years ago, and there is so much more that can be done to keep things under control.

Hope to hear more from you through the forum,

Best wishes,

Rachael
